Ruby E. Stephens

Ruby E. Stephens is a plant ecologist whose fieldwork has taken her across Australia from the Kimberley to Kosciuszko. Her love of bees led Ruby to flowers and pollination for her PhD, which uses big data to ask big questions about flower ecology and evolution.

A B. Science (Honours) graduate of the University of Sydney, Ruby conducted research as an undergraduate student with the Asia-Pacific Natural Hazards and Disaster Risk Research Group before moving into the fields of ecology and social insect research.
