Rumtin Sepasspour

Visiting Fellow, School of Regulation and Global Governance, Australian National University

Rumtin is a researcher and adviser, focused on the policy of existential and global catastrophic risk. He is a Research Affiliate with the University of Cambridge’s Centre for the Study of Existential Risk and a Visiting Fellow at the School of Regulation and Global Governance of the Australian National University. After a career in the private sector, Rumtin moved to the Australian Public Service. He worked as an Analyst with the Department of Defence and as a National Security and International Policy Officer in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. He is currently leading activities relating to researching and engaging policy around existential and global catastrophic risks to find practical solutions for policy-makers.
