Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator - Sport, Recreation and Event Management, Edith Cowan University

I am a Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator of the Sport, Recreation and Event Management program within the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia.

My research interests focus upon two key areas: the management of sport, tourism and events, with a focus on inclusion, equity and community development; and business education to enhance student learning and improve graduate employability outcomes. I have conducted several applied industry projects utilising quantitative and qualitative methods on sport governing bodies’ policies and practices, and the business and globalisation of sport and recreation in Australia, in partnership sport associations and government agencies. I have also been awarded University awards for Engagement in Teaching & Learning and Best Practice use of ePortfolios for my roles in assisting students and graduates in their transition to the workplace, and for enhanced employability outcomes.

I have a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education (Honours) from the University of Western Australia (UWA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Sport Business Management from the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
