Dr Ryan Pearson is Research Fellow and Project manager in the Global Wetland Project at Griffith University.
He is an early career marine scientist with expertise in threatened sea turtles, as well as links between the spatial configuration of coastal habitats and the roles that animal-derived functions play in maintaining resilient ecosystems faced with multiple pressures. He uses innovative techniques, including artificial intelligence, to provide useful tools to support waterway management aimed at minimising risk to ecosystem health for coastal animals and habitats, and for optimising conservation strategies for threatened megafauna.
