Ryna Ordynat is a PhD candidate in history at Monash University. Her thesis focuses on 18th and 19th century British and Australian women’s amateur arts, crafts and scrapbooks, and the creation and exchange of feminine visual culture. Having recently undergone a change of heart from pursuing a career in archaeology, she has recently completed an MA of Museum Studies at Deakin University, and have been employed by the National Trust and the Melbourne Museum. She maintains active interests in cultural heritage, museums and public history.
