Sabine Doebel

I study the development cognitive skills that support flexible thought and behavior, including executive functions and logical reasoning. My research shows that the development of these skills in early childhood are influenced by both social and linguistic processes. Learning more about how social, linguistic, and cultural processes shape flexible thought and action could help us find new ways to improve these skills in those who struggle with them.
