Sadhbh Byrne is a research assistant with Dr Jo Robinson's suicide prevention research team at Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health. Prior to starting at Orygen, Sadhbh completed her PhD research at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, where she examined parents’ and peers’ detection of early signs of depression displayed by a young person in distress, and analysed the factors that were associated with different support-giving responses. Her PhD was supported by a competitive Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship, awarded by the Irish Research Council.
