Sam Wilkins is a political scientist and a Lecturer in International Business at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He holds a D.Phil in Politics and an MSc in African Studies, both from the University of Oxford. His research focuses primarily on the survival of authoritarian regimes, particularly in Uganda, as well as on the global growth of populism. He is a member of the Australian Political Science Association.
