Sanae is a behavioural scientist in academia and practice with background in psychology and behavioural economics. Her research interests are in the application of behavioural science to better understand human behaviour and to utilize the insights towards diverse objectives such as sustainability, healthy living, and stakeholder engagement. She is currently working on multiple international projects such as circular economy, corporate social / environmental responsibility, climate resilience. She has worked at several academic institutions such as Kyoto University; Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University, Japan (MSc Psychology); the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Germany; University of Louisiana at Lafayette, USA; and Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience and School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University, the Netherlands (PhD Psychology) as well as public and private sectors in Japan and the Netherlands.
