Dr Subramaniam has research expertise in Molecular evolution, Population genomics, Ancient DNA and Bioinformatics, with a focus on, Comparative analysis of complete nuclear genomes from human individuals, Genome-wide analysis of deleterious mutations fixed in humans and chimpanzees, Next generation sequencing and anlysis of kiwi transcriptome and the population genomics of ancient and modern penguins.
