Sara Groff Stephens

Sara Groff Stephens, PhD, LCSW, (pronouns: she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker who provides outpatient behavioral health treatment at UVA Children’s at the Teen and Young Adult Health Center.

She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults with eating disorders and accompanying mental health disorders. Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Stephens received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida and a doctorate in social work from Florida State University. She completed her specialized training in eating disorders at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in their Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program for Eating Disorders.
