Sarah Elton is an Assistant Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University where she runs the Food Health Ecosystems Lab. Her scholarly research is published in numerous journals including Social Science and Medicine, Critical Public Health, and Food, Culture & Society. She is also the author of several bestselling books on food and society including Locavore and Consumed: Food for a Finite Planet. In 2021, she won an inaugural Gairdner Foundation Early Career Investigator Award.
