Lecturer in Creative Writing, University of the Sunshine Coast

Sarah is the author of Australian Gothic novel, 'Sing Fox to Me' (2016). Her second novel ‘Lazarus’ is expected for completion in 2017/18 along with her short story collection, ‘The Hacienda Arms of Saigon’.
Sarah was the winner of the QUT mentorship program (2014), longlisted for the Vogel Award (2013), winner of the QUT Postgraduate Writer's Prize (2013), and shortlisted for Overland Short Story Prize (2013).
Sarah graduated from Creative Writing with First class Honours (2010) and completed a PhD (2014) on a full APA scholarship in just under three years. Her PhD was passed without changes and her creative component was selected for publication by Aviva Tuffield (chair of the Stella Prize) at Affirm Press.
She has been published in 'The Lifted Brow', 'Stilts', 'Mamamia', 'The Mercury', 'Kill Your Darlings' and 'Award Winning Australian Fiction'.
Sarah teaches creative writing at both USC and QUT and, in 2015, she was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Excellence in Teaching award at QUT.
