Worked in Mildura, NW Vic 1998-2010. The region was devastated by the millenium drought, and owners ability to pay for veterinary treatment for their pets was very limited. I moved out of clinical practice and to Charles Sturt University 2011. My job role involved teaching foundation professional attributes, animal handling and welfare and clinical teaching in ophthalmology and desexing clinics.
I completed the PG Cert IAWEL in 2018 via distance from the University of Edinburgh
in 2021 I "retired" from full time work and am now working as a lecturer and clinical teacher for higher year students in the veterinary science degree.
