Scott is a cultural sociologist and Teaching Associate in Sociology at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on work, meaning and the intersection between the arts and social theory. His latest book The Anxiety of Ascent: Middle Class Narratives in Germany and America was published by Routledge in August 2018.
