Sebastian Sterl

Sebastian Sterl works as Senior Research Associate on Energy Transitions at the World Resources Institute (WRI) office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He is also a professor in Energy Meteorology at the Faculty of Engineering Science of the Free University of Brussels (VUB) in Belgium.

A physicist by training, he specializes in the technical and policy-related aspects of renewable energy and energy system transitions, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
