Shakira Akabor

My research interests are on the ways in which we can include rather than exclude learners in the classroom. I am especially passionate about reducing competitiveness in classrooms and increasing opportunities for all learners to develop and learn to their full potential. My goal is to make a difference in education. I am very concerned about the ways in which we “do” schooling, and would like to use my skills to make schools better places by helping to reach more children who are often marginalized in schools.
