Shantanu Mullick is Assistant Professor of Marketing and Data Science in CBiS. Previously he was Assistant Professor in Marketing at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, and was also involved in education and research at JADS - a joint venture on data science between Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology. He finished his PhD from ESSEC Business School in France, and prior to joining academia he was a brand manager in one of India’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
Shantanu’s research include topics related to food waste and sustainability, food, digital economy, big data, statistics & machine learning, and his recent projects have been funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research, SWIFT Institute as well as the industry.
His research has been published in marketing, sustainability and machine learning disciplines, including top marketing journals such as Industrial Marketing Management and top sustainability journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production. Shantanu’s work has also been the recipient of the best paper award in the 12th International Conference for Agents and Artificial Intelligence. He also supervises a number of doctoral students. Shantanu has collaborated with a number of companies and startups primarily in the food and sustainability space.
