Sharni is a workforce researcher with recent experience including studies of the community sector workforce, 'sham' contracting arrangements in the construction industry, and wage rates among electrical apprentices. She was involved in the landmark 'Australia at Work' study which tracked 8,000 Australian workers over five years. Her PhD examines the ways in which professionals mediate insecure work in their everyday lives.
