Honorary Professor, Australian National University

Professor Sharon Bell is an Honorary Professor at the Australian National University and Emeritus Professor at the University of Wollongong. She has held a number of senior leadership roles in Australian universities most recently as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Charles Darwin University (2011-2016).

Professor Bell holds a PhD in the discipline of Anthropology from the University of Sydney, where she gained skills and experience as a documentary film-maker.

Her earliest research was on women and wage labour in Sri Lanka and her current research focuses on women in the academy and in science in Australia.
