Sharon Gander is currently employed as a Lecturer in Policing at the University of Wolverhampton. An ex-police officer for West Midlands Police and recently worked as a course manager for the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP) for new recruit police officers and special constables for Warwickshire and West Mercia Police (2015).
