Sharon Stammerjohn

My research focuses primarily on polar oceanography and climate, specifically on atmosphere, ocean and sea ice interactions, including ocean, sea ice and ice shelf interactions. Many of my research projects also include interdisciplinary approaches involving data - modeling synthesis and investigations of ice - ecosystem interactions. The overarching motivation of all of these research projects is to improve understanding of how polar systems respond to climate variability and change.
