Dr Shasha Wang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations at the QUT Business School. Before joining QUT, Dr Wang was a marketing lecturer at the UWA Business School. She also worked in the automobile industry before her PhD.
She is an active researcher in the areas of advertising, promotion and consumer psychology. Her research mainly focuses on persuasive and ethical marketing communications targeting disadvantaged groups (e.g., young children). She studies social media marketing communications targeting varied consumer groups as a secondary focus.
Dr Wang has published articles in Psychology and Marketing, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Australasian Marketing Journal, Tourism Analysis, Higher Education, Tourism Review, and others.
