I recently finished my PhD in Medical Microbiology at the University of Manitoba. I am joining the International Microbiome Centre at the University of Calgary for postdoctoral fellowship. I am also an Early-Mid Career Ambassadors of International Society of Microbial Ecology and the Founding Director of Microbiome and Microbial Ecology Interest Group, Universal Scientific Education and Research Network. My PhD research focused on the role of early life microbiota in health and disease. I lead the milk microbiome project in the CHILD Cohort Study, a national Canadian pregnancy cohort following 3500 children and their families to understand how early life experiences shape lifelong health.
