Shrehan Lynch

Senior Lecturer in Sport, University of East London

Dr Shrehan Lynch is a Senior Lecturer in Sport at the University of East London. She has over 15 years’ experience in education, Shrehan is currently the Course Leader for the Sport Foundation Degree at the University of East London. Her previous roles include being the Subject Leader of Physical Education Teacher Education at the University of East London running the PE PGCE, School Direct & Apprenticeship programmes. Shrehan has extensive experience in researching and presenting internationally on her area of interest: Socially Just Physical Education and Youth Sport. She recently published a book with Routledge entitled: Pedagogies of Social Justice in Physical Education and Youth Sport as a blueprint for practitioners engaged within the discipline to have action orientated steps they might take to make the discipline more socially just. Shrehan is the founder of So Just Physical Education and Youth Sport network and in 2022 she won a National Teaching Fellowship for her dedication to services in education and she holds a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
