Lecturer in Criminology, University of Plymouth

Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Plymouth. Areas of expertise: sexual harassment, gender based violence, public transport, urban space, qualitative methods.

My PhD research focuses on sexual harassment on the London
Underground and its impact on women's urban mobilities. Coming from a feminist, urban sociological perspective, I used in-depth interviews and ethnographic methods to explore how sexual harassment manifests itself on public transport, and how these incidents impact the women who experience them.

In October 2016 I worked on the BBC 100 women campaign to explore ways to combat sexual harassment on public transport.

I have a background in Gender and Sexuality, obtaining my MSc from Amsterdam University. My research focused on British Lad Culture in Amsterdam's Red Light District.
