Assistant Professor of Public Affairs, Arizona State University

I hold a PhD in Public Affairs from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA), Indiana University-Bloomington- the top rated public affairs program in the nation. I specialize in public finance and budgeting (SPEA is also ranked #1 in this field). More specifically, I am interested in fiscal federalism and how tax and budgetary structures impact equity outcomes. My recent work focuses on the intersection of local revenue policy and local criminal justice policy. I have published on these topics in a variety of journals; Public Administration Review, Southern Economic Journal and Public Budgeting and Finance to name a few. I currently work on these issues as an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University.
