Professor of Criminology and Director of the National Centre for Gang Research, University of West London

I have an MA (Hons) Geography from Edinburgh University; An MA in Criminology from Middlesex University; a Bachelors in Urban planning from South Bank university and a Diploma in Marketing from UCL. I have worked in community safety for 35 years, including 6 years at the Home Office, and ten years as Community Safety Manger/Director in Hackney, Islington and Lambeth councils. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I am currently a Professor in Criminology at University of West London in Ealing and a Meber of the Centre of Cybersecurity and Crime.
As Director of the NCGR at UWL I advise the Metropolitan Police, the NCA, the HMICFRS and other national bodies on issues re street gangs and county lines. I have a new book out on County Lines at the end of April.
