Associate Professor of Bioethics, University of Portsmouth

Simon's academic and research interest is in research ethics, governance and integrity, and especially how these impact human participant research. He chairs research ethics committees for the UK's NHS, Ministry of Defence, and Health Security Agency (formally PHE), and is a member of the specialist "Human Challenge" ethics committee. He is also the UK adapting author of the popular Oxford University Press "Research Integrity" online course and a trustee of the charity UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO).
