Professor Simon Tormey is Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law at the University of Bristol. A political theorist, Simon is the author of numerous books including Anti-Capitalism and The End of Representative Politics published by Polity in 2015. His latest book Populism: A Beginner's Guide was published with Oneworld in 2019.

Simon appears regularly in the media commenting on UK, EU and European politics for Sky Business, Sky News, ABC News, Bloomberg and the BBC.
