Simon Wibberley

Simon Wibberley is a Computational Linguistics PhD candidate at the University of Sussex working in the Text Analytics Group (TAG) under the supervision of Prof. David Weir. Simon specialises in text stream processing, event detection, document categorisation, and topic modelling. His doctoral thesis focuses on social media analysis for social science, and is the lead developer of Method51, an Open Source framework for Twitter processing. Simon is also a core member of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media (CASM), a collaboration between TAG and the UK think tank Demos.
