Sky is a film director/writer/producer, scholar and lecturer with over a decade’s experience in teaching interactive media, animation and Screen production. He has a Diploma in Film from the New York Film Academy; an Advanced Diploma of Screen, and a Diploma in Training and Assessment, he is currently a Post Graduate Research Candidate at RMIT University.

His primary research into the issues facing Asian Australian filmmakers lead to the his 2011 feature film Citizen Jia Li which has since screened internationally in the USA, Europe and Australia and been nominated for an award. His research interests include the future of online storytelling, screen narrative and production, education pedagogy, Asian Australian Screen and Complex systems, he has given research papers relating to his primary research in Europe, Asia and Australia. In 2011 he convened the forum "Future Asian Diaspora Cinema" at the Screen Futures Conference in Melbourne bringing together Asian Australian Screen practitioners to discuss the future of Asian Australian Cinema.

He is a co developer and writer of the Diploma of Animation at Holmesglen TAFE, which was nominated for an institute award in educational excellence, he initiated and coordinated the Advanced Diploma of Screen at Holmesglen in 2004 until 2007, he has lectured to under graduate and postgraduate students at institutes including Holmesglen, Swinburne and RMIT.
