Sophie is an actor, writer, and researcher. Currently a PhD candidate in the English & Comparative Literature department, her research specialises in thought experiments in philosophy of mind and uses of narrative in philosophy, looking at issues of consciousness and AI and the meeting between literature and philosophy.

She is also the author of: 'A Marriage Proposal: the importance of equal marriage and what it means for all of us' for the Guardian. She has written for the Guardian, The Times, and The Spectator.

Sophie has a career as an actor and writer. Her first novel 'Love and Other Thought Experiments' is being published by Corsair in February 2020.
