Senior Researcher in Development Economics, Chr. Michelsen Institute

Dr. Sosina Bezu is an Economist who works as a Senior Researcher at Chr. Michelsen Institute. She has extensive experience in Africa. Her research interest includes:rural development, land policy reforms, youth employment, gender, migration and behavioral economics. She published her work in various peer-reviewed international journals including Food Policy, Journal of Development studies, World Development, Land Use Policy and Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics.

Bezu holds a PhD in Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (with course works from Cornell University (USA) and Oslo University(Norway) ). Previous to her current post, Bezu worked as an Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa University and as a Research Fellow at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences
