Spyros Samothrakis

Dr. Spyros Samothrakis is the Deputy Director of the Institute for Analytics and Data Science (IADS) at the University of Essex. He has published numerous scientific articles in AI topics like probabilistic planning (MCTS), reinforcement learning, machine learning and natural language processing. Before joining Academia, he had spent time in the telecommunications industry working as an IT consultant. He holds a PhD from the University of Essex (Computer Science), an MSc from the University of Sussex (Intelligent Systems) and a BSc from the University of Sheffield (Computer Science).
