Steff King (they/them) is a PhD student in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University. Their research analyzes death investigation procedures conducted for Indigenous cases with emphasis on partnering with community advocates to demand accountability and establish culturally appropriate investigative standards.
Steff is also a co-supervisor for the Forensic Entomology Lab within the SFU Centre for Forensic Research and they come from an archaeological background focusing on repatriation, community collaboration, and challenging colonial institutional practices.
