Doctoral Researcher, Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding, Graduate Institute – Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement (IHEID)

I am a PhD Candidate in International Relations and Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. My research is currently funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and I am based at the Centre on Conflict, Development, and Peacebuilding (CCDP). Between 2016-2017, I have also been a visiting scholar at the University of Amsterdam at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. An expert in African politics and, in particular, of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), my work focuses on linking the anthropology and the politics of the postcolonial state. I have conducted extensive fieldwork across Africa and maintain deep roots with the DRC, where I spent my childhood. Beyond academia, I have extensive experience working for and with both local and international non-governmental organisations.
