Collection Manager, Marine Invertebrates, Australian Museum

Steve started his career at the Australian Museum in 1983 as a volunteer. Subsequently, after working as a Technical Officer on various marine invertebrate projects he was appointed to the permanent staff in 1998. During this time he also completed postgraduate studies, focusing on the role of invertebrate scavengers in the marine food web and the identification, distribution and relationships of isopods (slaters). He has undertaken fieldwork throughout much of Australia, as well as Papua New Guinea, Thailand and New Zealand. Since 2006 Steve has been Collection Manager of Marine Invertebrates at the Museum.
