Stephen Lambden

Senior lecturer in Broadcast Journalism at the Centre of Broadcasting and Journalism at NTU, I’ve also lectured at several other universities in the UK.

I’m a former Head of News for ITV regional stations (Central East, West and South and Border). I spent the majority of my journalistic life with ITV, working as a sub-editor, reporter, presenter, news editor and head of news.

Before that I worked as a freelance radio and TV journalist, mainly for the BBC after starting my career on weekly and then regional newspapers. I worked in Fleet Street before joining a news agency supplying media outlets worldwide.

I’ve also worked for a variety of production companies in the UK and abroad producing TV documentaries and I’ve been involved in setting up media operations for various businesses as well as providing media training for a diverse range of organisations.
