Professor, viral immunology, Monash University

Professor Turner is currently an NHMRC Principal Research Fellow and Head of the Department of Microbiology Monash University. His research interests include studies to understand how a group of white blood cells, called T cells, recognise virus infections, how T cells are programmed to fight an infection, and once infection is cleared how T cells are programmed to establish protective immunity (termed immune memory).
