Steve is a psychiatrist, academic and writer. Steve is passionate about medical education and has taught medical students and psychiatry trainees for many years. He co-authored the general public guide to mental health called "Mental - everything you never knew you needed to know about mental health" and the medical student textbook "Psych-Lite: Psychiatry That's Easy to Read."
Steve is a regular media commentator, including as a regular guest on Melbourne ABC Radio, as Dr DoLittle 3RRR's Radiotherapy (Sundays at 10am), and as host of the SBS TV series "How mad are you?"
Steve's research interests include emergency psychiatry, trauma, psychiatric aspects of infectious diseases, psycho-oncology, medical education, psychiatric complications of medical disorders and the neurobiology of anxiety disorders.
