Steven G. Morgan

Professor of Environmental Science and Policy, University of California, Davis

Steven Morgan’s research program focuses on the ecology, behavior, life histories and conservation of marine life in the coastal ecosystem. He studies both the adult and larval phases of the complex life cycles of marine organisms by blending ecology and behavior with oceanography to provide novel insights into processes regulating marine populations and communities and adaptation across species ranges in an era of climate change and other anthropogenic impacts. He aims to deepen our understanding of life in the sea and translate these insights into improved conservation and management practices.

He is a member of the graduate groups in Ecology and Animal Behavior.
