Steven Greenwood is a PhD candidate researching the relationship between queer communities and popular culture. His current work examines the connection between queer audiences and musicals; his research is also particularly interested in cultural, political, and technological shifts at the turn of the 21st century and how they have impacted queer communities and their connections with popular culture.
He is also a director, playwright, and screenwriter, and is the artistic director of Home Theatre Productions. He has worked with Playwrights' Workshop Montreal's Young Creator's Unit, Jeunes Queer Youth, and the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers' Collective in developing his works.
