I have served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences since March of 2016. Prior to that I was Chair of the Department of Political Science and have been a member of the Troy University Faculty since 1998.

My main area of academic expertise is comparative democratic design with a focus on institutions and electoral rules. While my work is broadly comparative, much of my published work is on the country of Colombia.
