Stuart MacLennan

Associate Professor of Law, Coventry University

Dr Stuart MacLennan is Associate Professor of Law, specialising in EU law and taxation.

Stuart completed his undergraduate degree (LL.B.(Hons)) at the University of Edinburgh, his Masters degree (LLM) at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law, and his PhD at Trinity College, University of Dublin. Stuart also completed the Scots equivalent of the LPC (Diploma in Legal Practice) at the University of Edinburgh. Stuart previously taught at Trinity College, Dublin, and the China-EU School of Law.

Stuart presently leads the undergraduate EU Law module, as well as International Taxation Law and Commercial Law in Action our LLM programmes. Stuart is also Course Director for the PGCert in Fraud and Financial Crime.

Stuart’s current research interests include tax anti-avoidance law in the EU, the tax treatment of donations to political parties, and the teaching of European Union Law after Brexit.
