Emeritus Professor of Biology, University of Bath

Stuart Reynolds is interested in everything about insects. He is a former President of the Royal Entomological Society and currently serves as Emeritus Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath, where he is also a member of the Milner Centre for Evolution.

Professor Reynolds undertakes research in insect immunity - how insects defend themselves against microbial diseases - and also studies metamorphosis - how caterpillars transform into butterflies. He has been at Bath since 1977 and has published more than 130 scientific papers in his career.
