Suresh brings a rare blend of practical hands on experience with an ability to educate executives on leading edge technologies and processes to create real business change.
His primary focus is the application of mobile, social technologies and online services to build communities transforming customer relationships and underlying business processes directly impacting the cost and delivery of products and service.
A pioneer in word of mouth working closely with Wotif at an early stage when investment in traditional media was limited. He has developed Indian and Chinese market entry strategies for new Australian based online service providers in education services, travel and loyalty management.
As Senior Vice President Business Development with Reuters/TIBCO Finance Suresh was instrumental in working with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore and Hong Kong. He directly contributed to over $100M of value in innovative new online services across Asia including Australia, China, India, Singapore and Thailand.
Suresh continues to be the key instigator leading the embracement of digital technologies in business curriculum development and executive education at the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS) since 1995.
Suresh writes numerous thought leadership article,co-authors books and presents at a variety of local and global conferences to shape new markets and opportunities. Initially graduating in BSc (Hons) Physics from London University, he holds a MBA and PhD in the area of social media marketing from UTS. He is a past visiting fellow, Faculty of Business, UTS, part time lecturer and Co-director/founder of the Complex Systems Research Centre (CSRC) exploring business opportunities from networking. His current research interest involves new software detecting consumer interactions with brands in social media environments. Suresh conducts the most popular social media marketing courses in the southern hemisphere with nearly 2,200 executives attending the course.
