Lecturer in Architecture, Atlantic Technological University

I am a fully qualified architect and architectural historian with over 14 years in practice in Ireland, Italy and Germany. I hold a first-class Masters degree from University College Dublin and a PhD in architectural history from Trinity College Dublin. My book 'Dublin’s Bourgeois Homes: building the Victorian suburbs 1850-1901' (Routledge, 2017), was the first in-depth analysis of Dublin’s Victorian domestic architecture. After the completion of my PhD, I taught at University College Dublin and Griffith College Dublin. From 2017 I spent five and a half years working in Belgium: I was a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Architecture, University of Leuven and I lectured at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Liège. In September 2022 I started a new position as lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Design, Atlantic Technological University Sligo, Ireland. I also work with e2Arc-Architects for Future Cities on a collaborative European funded project to re-nature 6 pilot cities across Europe.
