Professor of Religions and Cultures, Death Doula & Death Educator, Nipissing University

I am a professor of Religions and Cultures at Nipissing University in Ontario, Canada. I teach a variety of courses on death, dying and spirituality, and I am dedicated to teaching death awareness in postsecondary education. My students are called "Death Ambassadors" because they are changing the conversation in our culture around death and breaking through the death phobias and societal taboos. I run an instagram account detailing the #DeathEducation movement, my students and my courses at @death.ambassadors
I am a death doula and a palliative care volunteer.
