Dr. Susannah Tye is a Group Leader at the Queensland Brain Institute where she investigates the effects of stress on brain and behaviour. Dr. Tye has over fifteen years of experience studying the how stress contributes to depression and studying the mechanisms through which new treatments promote recovery. Her long-term goal is to bridge preclinical and clinical studies to maximise translational impact, specifically in terms of improving patient outcomes for those with severe refractory psychiatric illness. Towards this end, she maintains many international collaborations with both clinical and basic science researchers.
